FAQ : WEIGHT TIPS
If I do a weight program and abs workout everyday will I see faster results?
**NO! Ideally, you want to give your muscles a rest for at least 24 hours after weight exercises. Whether you are a beginner or advanced trainee, three nonconsecutive weight exercise training days is plenty. The keys to a leaner physique are smart training, ample rest, and proper diet.
Why should I warm up for a few minutes before starting my workout routine?
**We ALWAYS recommend that you do about 5 minutes of a cardiovascular exercise (ie. bike, treadmill, elliptical) before doing any strength training or training program. It will help loosen up your muscles, get the blood flowing and get your mind ready for a good workout. It can be harmful to weight train with cold muscles so make sure to warm up adequately.
Why do you train the core muscles at the beginning of the workout program?
**Because the midsection is such a common problem area, we think you should begin all workout routines with core exercises. Leaving them for the end usually means less time and energy spent on BEATING THE BULGE! Give your core muscles top priority by working them when you’re at your strongest and have the most energy—at the beginning of the workout! Also, emphasizing your core from the start will help you focus on maintaining good form and posture throughout the rest of the workout.
How long will it take me to lose (this much) body weight? Or, do you think I can lose (this much) body weight in (this many) weeks?
**I have no idea how long it will take you. For someone to tell you that you will lose a certain number of pounds by a specified time is flat out LYING!!! It’s similar to the many fad lose weight diet programs that make a bunch of false promises. The truth is, everyBODY is different and so are the metabolisms that go along with it. If you eat healthier and commit to an exercise training program on a consistent basis, you will get into better shape and shed those excess, unwanted pounds before you know it. Although, I cannot predict your future weight and when it will be, I can tell you that losing weight on an average of 1 to 3lbs/week is a reasonable expectation. Provided you eat reduced number of calories and you exercise, you will truly amaze yourself. How long will it take? It's up to you! Dedicate yourself to eating healthier and not only will you look better, but you'll feel better!!!
